This Week in Cell Phone Pics

Here is some recent lovelies from my cell phone.

We recently started Dean is a SoccerTots program. He loves it! It helps with his coordination, but he really is benefiting from the socialization and learning to follow instructions. I love this pic. They were supposed so jump over the noodles in this exercise. My little man just decided to use the noodle as a sword. A second before this pic was taken he hit Jeremy with the noodle and said "Aye-ya!"

my babies....Dean is just beginning to ham it up for the camera.

Dean got a haircut last week. He sat in this car chair and said "I Handsome"

here is another beauty that Dean somehow created, and then saved to my cell phone. I always come across these.

My dad got back from a long business trip to China last week and I am in love with the silky china p.j.'s he brought back for the kids. They love them too. Dean's have a dragon on them, which he is slightly excited about!

Here is another piece of work by Dean Jackson.

A couple days ago I braved the extreme heat and took my littles to get a snow cone. I have a feeling we will be back there often in the coming weeks.

My parents bought Dean these new boots and I believe his life is now complete. :)

I love him so much. So, so much.

My pretty girl trying on some accessories while we shopped.
I'll be back with more etsy finds tomorrow! Night night!

Piddle Designs

I love these graphic tees from Piddle Designs. The owner is a mommy of two boys, and she completely embraces their boy-ness!

This Good Guy shirt is super cool and Dean would love that it is Shrek green

I know a few little men that would love this one

A Ninja Protects his Mom. How cute is this shirt?!

This Texas shirt is darling to me, and you can get it in a girly shade for your little lady too.

and while you are there you can get a grown-up version for yourself.

You can find them all at Piddle Designs!

Dean's Room

A couple months ago we moved Dean into his big boy bed. I was so happy to find bedding at Target that matched his nursery colors and style so well.

I love these frames my mom made for Dean. She just used scrapbook paper and inexpensive frames from Hobby Lobby.

The wall decals above his bed are from Shanickers.  These were above his crib as well. We really changed nothing from the nursery accept the bed.

The quilt, striped sheets, and rug are from Target.

The next change in this room will be replacing the changing table with a dresser. The cute boy signs above the changing table are from Land of Nod. Such a bummer they were discontinued because they are so boyish, cute, and inexpensive.

The two wall pieces here are also from Land of Nod. I love this reading spot with my Dean.
That is it. Sweet and simple!

Hope you are having a great week!

Grace's Room

I thought it would be fun to show you the fun finds in my kids rooms.

Grace's room is a little hard to set up in that there is no solid wall. Each wall has a door or two, or a ginormous window. I had a valance made for her nursery that I didn't want to replace, so when looking for her big girl bedding, coordinating with the valance was essential.

I love her bedding from Land of Nod .
We don't have a guest room in our house, so her queen size bed has been great for company...also great for reading, playing, and snuggling :)

I bought her chandelier on ebay, but it is sold by Ballard Designs . It is feminine and dainty. Perfect for her room.

I had the bird paintings above her bed custom made by Small Words

My favorite detail is the pink feathers!

Here is a bad picture of the ginormous window. The valance is pink and white toile,  satin, and minky dot fabric.
Not that you can tell in this bad picture, but in the left corner is her princess table from Grammy and Pops. It is very well used and loved. Here is a good picture of it.

This is her changing table turned dresser. I found those sweet ballerina wall hangings when I was pregnant and I still love them in her room.

And that concludes the tour. Pretty exciting huh? Stay tuned for a tour of Dean's cool big boy room!

Dapper Dude

I recently purchased this little man tie for Dean to wear to my sister-in-law's wedding. It arrived yesterday, and it is perfect! So, so darling on him. Dapper Dude takes designer, department store men's ties and alters them down to fit our little ones.

p.s. My bridesmaid dress is purple, so Dean Jackson and I will photograph well together :)
p.p.s.  If there is a specific tie you are wanting, you can mail the tie to Dapper Dude and they will alter it down for just $12.00

You can view the entire adorable tie collection at Dapper Dude

Father's Day Weekend

Our little family had a great weekend at the Hyatt Hill Country resort!

                                      We dined

we swam and took many laps around the lazy river

we bought mommy new sunglasses. we let dean wear the sunglasses.
we lost the sunglasses 10 minutes after the purchase

we sipped mixed drinks by the pool

                              we dined some more

some of us played with our food

                          we played on the playground

we made s'mores by the fire

         and we swam some more!

Jeremy recently introduced our kids to Davy Crockett. Grace calls him "Davy The Crockett", they LOVE Davy the Crockett.  As soon as they became aware that "Davy the Crockett's fort" was near the hotel they were talking non stop about a trip to the Alamo. Not going was not an option. No choice, they were serious about it. Dean talked about wanting to give Davy Crockett a high-five. He didn't quite understand that The Crockett would not be present. We woke up on Father's Day and headed to the Alamo, where both kids got a coon skin hat.

Grace was pouting in this picture because she was denied ice cream.

                                  headed home!

Happy Fathers Day Jeremy! Thanks for taking such great care of us. You are so loved!!!!
